Contest Rules

To keep the InSpire Canada Math Contest fair and meaningful, please read these simple rules before you start.

1️⃣ General Rules

  • An adult should supervise young students during the contest.
  • Once started, you have 45 minutes to complete the contest.
  • Work alone – no help from parents, teachers, friends, or the internet.
  • Use only pencil, paper, and the on-screen tools provided.
  • You may attempt one grade level per round.

2️⃣ Unfair Participation

Unfair participation happens when someone gets help or uses resources not allowed. Examples:

  • Using calculators or searching answers online.
  • Reading formulas or notes during the contest.
  • Parents, teachers, or friends giving hints or solutions.
  • Communicating with other students about the questions.

Even well-intentioned help (like translating a tricky word) can make results unfair.

3️⃣ Consequences

  • Scores obtained with unfair help may be removed from rankings.
  • Serious or repeated issues can lead to account suspension.
  • We reserve the right to adjust or remove results if integrity is in doubt.

Thank you for helping us keep the contest honest and fun for everyone!
