Terms of Use
Welcome to InSpire Canada Math Contest (the “Site”). By accessing or using our Site, services, and related products (collectively, the “Services”), you agree to these Terms of Use (the “Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
For how we collect, use, and protect personal data, please see our Privacy Policy.
Quick Navigation

These Terms form a binding agreement between you and InSpire Canada Math Contest (“we”, “us”, or “our”). You represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms and, if you are under the age required by your jurisdiction, that you have obtained consent from a parent or legal guardian.
2) Eligibility
You may use the Services only in compliance with applicable laws and these Terms. Some Services (e.g., contests) may have additional eligibility rules published on their pages.
3) Accounts & Security
- You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date (e.g., name, grade, school, city/province/country).
- Keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
- Notify us promptly of any suspected unauthorized use or security issue.
4) Permitted Use
You may access the Services for personal, non-commercial educational use, in accordance with these Terms and any rules posted on relevant pages (e.g., exam rules, coordinator guides).
5) Payments, Refunds & Taxes
- Prices and fees are shown at checkout and may change from time to time.
- Payments are processed by approved payment providers. You authorize us to charge your selected method for all fees.
- Refunds: Unless otherwise stated on a product/contest page, paid registrations are (a) refundable within [X days] prior to the event start, and (b) non-refundable after the event has started or materials have been accessed. Platform and processing fees may be non-refundable.
- You are responsible for any applicable taxes.
6) Contests, Proctoring & Camera Use
Contest participation is subject to contest-specific rules (e.g., eligibility, timing, qualified proctors, academic integrity). To protect exam integrity and student safety, we may require online proctoring during which your device’s camera and microphone may be activated, and your screen and network activity may be monitored in real time. You agree not to obstruct, disable, or misrepresent any proctoring process.
What may be collected during proctoring. Depending on the contest settings, we may collect: (a) live video and audio of the test-taker and immediate surroundings; (b) still images or short clips for identity checks; (c) screen activity and basic device information (e.g., browser, OS, IP, timestamps); and (d) proctor session logs and flags generated by proctors or automated systems.
Use & retention. Proctoring data is used solely to verify identity, uphold exam integrity, investigate incidents, and comply with legal obligations. Unless a longer period is needed for investigations or legal compliance, we aim to retain proctoring data for up to 180 days from the contest date and then delete or de-identify it.
Identity & environment. You may be asked to show a valid photo ID (where permitted by law) and to pan your camera to confirm the testing environment is compliant (e.g., no unauthorized materials or persons present). If you refuse required checks or breach contest rules, your results may be invalidated and access suspended.
Personal data is handled per our Privacy Policy.
7) User Content & License
“User Content” includes materials you submit (e.g., answers, messages, feedback). You retain ownership of your User Content. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and use your User Content solely to operate and improve the Services, and to comply with contest rules and legal obligations.
You represent that your User Content does not infringe others’ rights or violate laws or these Terms.
